Lens image stabilisation and various control switches are incorporated in the design to give you an edge while shooting handheld. To reduce camera shake and ensure sharper images while handheld shooting, Sync IS provides 7 steps of correction on the wide end and 6 steps on the telephoto end. The lens alone without Sync IS has 6 steps of correction on the wide end and 5 steps on the telephoto end.
