Sony ZV-E10 II (Black) with 11mm f/1.8 Lens

Sony ZV-E10 II (Black) with 11mm f/1.8 Lens

With improved features that expand upon its content-creation-focused predecessor, the Sony ZV-E10 II is outfitted with a 26MP APS-C sensor for faster performance and high-quality imagery in a compact form factor designed for vloggers. This aligns the ZV-E10 II with tried and true models such as the FX30 and the a6700. Built-in creative shooting modes, a 3-capsule directional microphone, and a 3" articulating LCD touchscreen with vertical orientation support and integrated tally light make for a powerful multi-purpose vlogging device. Other notable upgrades with the ZV-E10 II include a 759-point phase detection autofocus system, Cinematic Vlog mode, and compatibility with larger-capacity NP-FZ100 batteries.

Connectivity and Live Streaming

Ports on the ZV-E10 II include a micro-HDMI video output and USB-C data output, which can facilitate video sharing to a computer or compatible mobile device. You can even live stream to social media using the USB-C data port or integrated 5 GHz WiFi. The USB-C data port also supports high-speed wired transfers to a compatible device through the Sony Creators App. RTMP, RTMPS, and SRT streaming protocols are supported as well as UVC standards, which allow you to use the camera as a webcam.

26MP APS-C Exmor R CMOS Sensor and BIONZ XR Processor

Similar to the sensor found on the FX30 or a6700 flagship, the ZV-E10 II has an APS-C-format 26MP Exmor CMOS sensor for smooth, nuanced image quality with minimal noise. A high sensitivity range of ISO 100-32000 can be further expanded to ISO 102400 for increased low-light performance. The sensor works in tandem with an upgraded BIONZ XR processor for 8x faster performance with an increased 5.6K oversampling area.

Increased Phase Detection

The ZV-E10 II has fast-hybrid 759-point phase detection and subject-recognition algorithms for improved subject recognition. Real-time Eye AF can prioritise focusing on human or animal eyes for ensured sharpness when making portraits. When selected, this function is activated by half-pressing the shutter button, and you can further choose to prioritise either the right or left eye. Real-time tracking utilises AI-based algorithms and automatically recognises and tracks moving subjects. If Face/Eye Priority AF is on, this tracking method will further track a subject's eye or face in real-time depending on the status of the moving subject.

4K Video Recording

UHD 4K video recording is possible up to 60p and uses full pixel readout with 5.6K oversampling to yield greater detail with reduced moire and aliasing. Full HD 1080p recording is also supported in frame rates up to 120 fps, and both resolutions utilise the 600 Mb/s XAVC HS and XAVC S-I formats with 4:2:2 sampling. The camera includes S-Cinetone and S-Log 3 colour, which make for better grading control and full utilization of the 14-stop dynamic range. You can also assign LUTs or use the Creative Looks mode to apply preset colour effects to your footage while shooting.

Larger Battery Capacity

In order to accommodate the NP-FZ100 battery, the ZV-E10 II now has a slightly larger body design while still maintaining an overall compact form factor for portability. When using the NP-FZ100 battery, you can now record approximately 610 shots per charge for a 30% increase over the previous model. Power can also be supplied to the camera through the USB-C port or by using the optional power adapter.

Sony E 11mm f/1.8 Lens

Featuring an especially sleek and lightweight design, the Sony E 11mm f/1.8 is also among the widest APS-C lenses, offering a 16.5mm equivalent focal length along with a bright f/1.8 design. Perfect for selfie-style vlogging, architectural subjects, and landscape shooting, this lens's lightweight, portable design also makes it a go-to choice for travel and walkaround recording applications.

Ultra-Wide Optical Performance

The Sony E 11mm f/1.8 offers a versatile 16.5mm full-frame equivalent focal length that is ideal for landscapes, architecture, interiors, and handheld vlogging applications. Its bright f/1.8 maximum aperture performs exceptionally well in low-light conditions and allows for shallow depth of field effects with smooth background separation. The advanced optical design delivers impressive sharpness throughout the frame while reducing colour fringing and various optical aberrations, and the rounded 7-blade diaphragm contributes to natural-looking bokeh.

Fast and Accurate Focusing

Equipped with a dual Linear Motor autofocus system, the lens provides fast, quiet, and precise focusing performance suitable for both stills and video recording. The internal focusing design enhances responsiveness while maintaining a consistent lens length during operation. Linear Response manual focus offers a more natural focusing feel, while the dedicated AF/MF switch on the lens barrel enables quick transitions between focus modes. For close-up shooting, the lens supports a minimum focusing distance of 4.7 inches in manual focus or 5.9 inches with autofocus for detailed and dynamic compositions.

Compact Design for Everyday Use

Designed with portability in mind, the lens features a compact and lightweight build that pairs perfectly with APS-C mirrorless camera bodies. Its dust- and moisture-resistant construction adds reliability when shooting outdoors or in changing weather conditions. A customisable focus hold button allows quick access to assigned settings, while Sony's Smooth Motion Optics technology helps reduce focus breathing for improved compositional consistency during video recording. When combined with cameras featuring Active Mode stabilisation, the ultra-wide focal length produces smooth handheld footage with a balanced perspective that is particularly effective for walking shots and arm's-length vlogging.
